Planning wall art or plaster

Art and plaster work goes on a wall that has to be ready for it. Cracks, damp spots and fresh drywall dust all show through a finish, so the wall itself is the first thing we talk about. The second is light: a color that looks warm on a sample can turn gray on a north-facing wall.

What to settle first

  1. Pick the technique. Fresco, a painted mural and decorative plaster are different crafts with different timelines. The fresco guide explains the difference.
  2. Check the surface. The wall must be sound and dry. New construction needs time to cure before plaster goes on.
  3. Gather references. Photos, fabric, tile or a sketch help us match tone and texture faster than words.
  4. Agree on the scope in writing. Size, number of layers or colors, access and travel all go into the proposal.

When you are ready to see finishes and past pieces, start with our art and plaster services.
