If I hire a remodeler and a separate muralist, what usually goes wrong?
The handoff. Dust schedules slip, substrates close before finish direction is final, and each trade blames the other for delays. Is Artbrick a revolving subcontractor GC or a studio that carries finish craft?
A studio model: remodel, ADU, and art/plaster under Artbrick LLC. Work, materials, and process lead. Specialty plumbing/electrical are coordinated as licensed trades when required; finish craft is not treated as an anonymous afterthought bid.
What does “Build well. Create beautifully.” change on a real jobsite?
Build well means structure, sequencing, and honest scope before pretty walls. Create beautifully means plaster, fresco, and mural work are planned as craft in the finish sequence — not a slogan pasted on a paint allowance. The tagline is organizational, not marketing filler on service H1s.
Why suggest plaster-forward options instead of a “feature paint” wall?
Because depth and durability come from the material system, not from simulating texture with paint. When a wall should feel unique long-term, we start plaster-forward and send technique detail to Materials & Finishes.

Who owns the schedule when plaster must wait on remodel?
Construction and substrate prep lead until walls are stable and clean. Art and plaster follow with a defined handoff in writing. That order is how we avoid trapping mineral finishes in an active dust zone.
Can remodel, ADU, and art share one kickoff without one messy scope?
Yes — one conversation, separate scope documents. A backyard ADU with a plaster feature, or a kitchen remodel with a fresco wall, still needs clear inclusions per wing so nothing is assumed.
What do you say when a homeowner asks for a guaranteed permit date?
We refuse the guarantee. Cities and counties control decisions and clocks. We handle preparation, submission, and coordination when permits are in scope, and we flag feasibility risks early. Operational detail stays on the ADU hub and remodel pages.
